Once you place a deposit on a new home, your check will go to the title company and escrow will be opened. The title company, First American Title, is an independent third party that acts as the agent for buyer and seller, carrying out instructions of both and disbursing documents and funds. Once your loan is funded by your lender, escrow will close. The transfer of property will be completed and then you will be the owner of a beautiful new home.
